Residents in Powys and South Ceredigion are facing a life-threatening "healthcare desert." Many are more than 60 minutes away from the nearest major A&E such as Shrewsbury. In 2025/26, emergency response data continues to show that rural response times are lagging,
The government has a duty of care to ensure that your "postcode" doesn't determine your survival rate. A local hospital would close the dangerous gap in emergency response times.
