Rejected petition: stop libraries charging money to reserve books

Rejected on

So recently, Essex and London libraries have introduced that when you reserve a book you now have to pay a fee of £1.25 which doesn't really make sense as libraries are a non profitable place with a few exceptions to this matter

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

This is a matter for individual libraries.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
