Open petition: Fund sanitary products for women with endometriosis, PCOS or adenomyosis on NHS
Created by Kira Leigh Daley
Closes on
I am calling on Government and Parliament to provide free sanitary products on the NHS for those diagnosed with endometriosis, PCOS, or adenomyosis. Heavy bleeding creates a medical need, not a choice, and should be supported with essential hygiene products to ensure dignity, health, and equality.
The Government and Parliament should ensure people with endometriosis, PCOS, and adenomyosis receive free sanitary products on the NHS. These conditions often cause heavy, prolonged bleeding, making sanitary protection a medical necessity, not a choice. The cost places a disproportionate financial burden on those already managing chronic pain and illness. Providing free access could protect dignity, improve health outcomes, reduce inequality, and ensure fair support within healthcare.
