Rejected petition: Create serving military/veteran airport lounges
Rejected on
Create serving military/veteran lounges in international airports in the U.K.
As some veterans because of their mental health, ptsd and/or anxiety cannot always be in crowds but it is also a safe space for veterans.
Military veterans have served the United Kingdom with dedication and sacrifice. They deserve greater visible recognition and practical support, including while travelling. We call on the Government to work with airport operators, charities, and partners such as the Royal British Legion and SSAFA to establish dedicated lounges or quiet spaces for veterans in major UK airports.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
This is not a matter of responsibility for the Government but for airport operators and airlines.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
