Remove the protected status on gull breeds like seagulls to allow controlled culling to take place in order to reduce the population and breeding, which has grown beyond sensible and safe numbers.
This could be done alongside environmental health people to endure safety for locals and the area.
Lots of people in my area and the whole of Great Britain have been attacked by protected breeds of gulls and some have been hospitalised and now have trauma from them. They are a danger to society and wildlife and something needs to be done before it get worse.
Councils and local authorities are forced to spend money from limited funds to deter gulls from breeding and settling, but this costs a lot for a not guaranteed result and can take multiple seasons to be effective.
