We call upon the UK Government and Parliament to reform residential property transaction laws across the United Kingdom to introduce earlier legally binding commitments between buyers and sellers during the home-buying process.
Too many house sales collapse late in the process, causing financial loss, stress, and wasted costs. Introduce binding agreements, clearer timelines, and penalties for unjustified withdrawal to reduce failures, improve confidence, and create a fairer, home-buying process across the UK.
Review the current residential property transaction process;
Consult with consumers, conveyancers, lenders, and estate agents;
Introduce legislation to bring forward legal commitment during property transactions;
