Rejected petition: Review GCSE AQA Biology Paper 1 2026 to Ensure Fairness for Students!
Rejected on
The GCSE AQA Biology Paper 1 2026 was very different from previous exams. The wording and structure of questions confused many students and we think it does not fairly reflect our biology knowledge. We are urgently calling for the paper to be reviewed to ensure fairness for all students.
The 2026 GCSE AQA Biology Paper 1 shocked students across Britain. Topics strongly emphasised by teachers and revision resources were largely absent from the exam, while many questions used unclear wording and focused excessively on application rather than biological knowledge, unlike previous papers. Many students felt it did not reflect most of the spec or past exams. We urgently ask for the paper to be reviewed, grade boundaries significantly lowered, or even a fair resit paper provided.
