Open Fund more school holiday clubs for children of working parents aged 5+

Provide funding to increase access to and the number of school holiday clubs for children over 5 in order to support working parents. Many areas have little to no childcare available for children over 5 during the school holidays.

We feel existing options are limited and many focus only on sports activities, which may not suit every child or family. As a result, many parents are unable to work full-time or are restricted in the jobs they can take because they cannot access reliable childcare during school holidays.

We call on the Government to fund the expansion of affordable, inclusive school holiday clubs for children over 5, in order to give working parents the childcare support they need during school holidays.
