Rejected petition: Reduce NHS waiting times for endometriosis diagnosis and surgery
Rejected on
I would like the UK Government to reduce NHS waiting times for endometriosis diagnosis and treatment.
Women with suspected endometriosis and severe gynaecological symptoms can face years of waiting for diagnosis and treatment. I have personally been told NHS Tayside waiting times for diagnostic laparoscopy are around 150 weeks, almost 3 years. Delays can leave women struggling physically and mentally, affect daily life, work and relationships, and leave many suffering without answers. Faster access to diagnosis and treatment is urgently needed.
