The problem isn't Tourists, the problem is Thailand. It's a Country of sleaze, corruption, organized crime, drugs, prostitution, idol worship, black magic, spiritual wickedness. I strongly think the British Government should warn it's Citizens about visiting Thailand which is rotten.
Many people come to a sticky end in Thailand, innocent tourists get mixed up with bad people there. Many expats and retirees either commit suicide, suffer from scams, kidnapping, honeypots, run out of money and get incarcerated for problems with their visa. It's easy to catch HiV there. You have no rights and will be beaten up by gangs of locals. You might be pickpocketed by a lady boy. The traffic police will extort you for imaginary traffic transgressions. It is a backwards place run by criminals
