Rejected petition: Introduce measures to increase safety on A1 between Denwick and South Charlton

Rejected on

There have been multiple RTC’s on the A1 between Denwick and South Charlton in the last year alone, with many resulting in fatalities. If the dualing of the road is not going to go ahead please introduce alternative measures to increase safety on this stretch of road.

Examples of measures may be more signage to highlight the dangers this stretch of road poses especially to those from outside the area but ideally I believe speed cameras will prevent drivers choosing to drive erratically and put other road users at risk.
