Rejected petition: Prevent dogs being walked in high temperatures.
Rejected on
We want the Government to introduce official guidance and legal protections to help prevent dogs being walked in dangerously high temperatures. Every year dogs suffer heatstroke and burned paws from unsafe exercise during heatwaves. Better awareness could save lives.
Being a professional dog walker and dog owner. I feel very strongly about the cruelty of people walking their dogs in high temperatures and it need to stop. Dogs die because of irresponsible behaviour and people and I feel very strongly to protect animals that do not have a voice.
