Rejected petition: Stop GCSEs Limiting Opportunities for Neurodiverse Children
Rejected on
This petition calls for fairer education for neurodiverse children through alternatives to GCSE English and Maths, less reliance on exams, more coursework and vocational qualifications, better support, increased neurodiversity training, and recognising success is not measured by exam results alone.
This petition calls for fairer education for neurodiverse children by reducing reliance on GCSE English and Maths, expanding coursework and vocational options, improving support, and increasing neurodiversity training in schools. Many students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other conditions are disadvantaged by exam-focused systems despite strong abilities. Education should recognise different strengths and provide inclusive pathways so every child has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
