Rejected petition: Ban doctor receptionist’s from requesting medical information.
Rejected on
Ban doctor receptionist’s from asking a patient for personal medical reasons why they are requesting an appointment to see a doctor.
We believe doctors receptionist’s have no right to ask for medical symptoms when asking to see a doctor and they should not have the authority to decide whether or not a patient gets an appointment.
Receptionists are not qualified to assess patients symptoms and patients have the right to confidentiality.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
It is up to individual practices how they chose to triage their patients.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
