Rejected petition: Ban carrying Kirpan and other ceremonial weapons in Public
Rejected on
No weapons should be allowed to be carried in public places. All should be banned from being carried in public. They pose a danger to the general public, no one should get preferential treatment. Knives, swords and daggers legally are considered offensive weapons
I am looking for a total blanket ban on all all ceremonial weapons including the Kirpan in public. Ceremonial weapons have been banned in France, Denmark and Sweden. With growing knife crime no religion, minority or any other group should have an exception from the knife ban which we have in place in the UK. Ceremonial weapons are weapons and no one should be allowed to carry them.
