Ban the burning of national flags, including the Irish Tricolour and Union Jack, at public bonfires and events in Northern Ireland when used to intimidate, provoke hatred, or increase sectarian tensions between communities- I have more to say but I’ve not enough space lying around the box
Many people in Ireland and Northern Ireland see the burning of the Irish flag on the 12th of July as disrespectful, provocative, and harmful to community relations. We believe all national identities should be treated equally and with respect.
This petition is not against Protestant people or traditions. It is about reducing sectarian division and preventing actions that inflame tensions between communities
