Open petition: Reform Army applications: replace online portal with in-person applications
Created by Michael Perkins
Closes on
We want the Government to replace the current online application process for the Army, which we think lacks the personal interaction needed to properly assess candidates and build confidence in their decision to serve.
Replace it with in-person contact with staff which we believe would help applicants better understand Army life, values, and expectations.
I believe that joining the Army is a significant commitment that requires dedication and trust. During my application I found that I wanted a more direct relationship with my recruiter.
For those who have a strong personal desire to serve their country, the recruitment process should reflect the importance of that commitment by providing meaningful human interaction. We think this reform would strengthen recruitment and reinforce the values of service and commitment that underpin the British Army.
