Rejected petition: Increase safeguarding standards in Uk schools to support students struggling.

Rejected on

This petition is to increase safeguarding standards across uk schools including taking measures such as ensuring students understand impacts of issues like bullying and how serious of an issue mental health can be as well as reviewing how schools can improve at dealing with safeguarding issues.

Many pupils at schools rely on staff to provide assistance and support for mental health and other issues they are facing. Unfortunately in many schools students are often dismissed, downplayed and left unheard resulting in worsening mental wellbeing and can even result in long term problems such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders and even self harm or suicide simply due to a lack of support received for a problem, this is why I believe safeguarding around schools should be strengthened.
