Rejected petition: Later start to secondary school days

Rejected on

The current system forces teenagers to wake up at times that disrupt their natural biological sleep patterns. Morning rush hour means some students arrive to school later and a 10:00 am start resolves both issues, supporting student well-being and ensuring more people arrive on time.

A later start will vastly improve students' attitude to school and reduce sleep deprivation. Allowing teenagers enough sleep fosters a positive, motivated attitude towards learning. Which will create a happier, more productive classroom enviroment
