Rejected petition: Enforce the cutting of grass in public areas - around trees and in parks.
Rejected on
Enforce the cutting of grass around trees and in parks, and the removal of plants from the sides of pavements, to reduce the risk of grass seeds to animals.
Grass seeds pose a risk to animals. They are sharp and barbed, and can find their way into dogs ears, paws, eyes and nose. This causes unnecessary suffering to animals, increased vet visits, and possible long term complications. If a grass seed isn't removed urgently they can migrate into vital organs.
