Rejected petition: Change to Motability vehicles
Rejected on
I think a change needs to be made to the options of Motability vehicles available as some Motability vehicles currently on the road retail for well over £40,000 I think most Motability vehicles ( unless larger or different needed for specific needs ) should be changed and all be the same
A lot of Motability vehicles on the road now retail for around or above £40,000 and this needs to change as most people now only claim this to be able to get newer cars that they would never be able to afford and a lot of the general public feel this needs to change I think most Motability vehicles should all be the same ( manual & automatic ) to cut down on people abusing the system to have the newest cars most cars used for Motability if there was a change should be something like a Nissan cube etc to see how many people would then need a Motability car as to many people abuse the system. This should exclude people who do actually need a larger vehicle / Van sized vehicle for there needs as these people do actually need them type of vehicles due to there disability
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you mean by making the cars on the Motability Scheme "all the same", as well as the limits you would like the Government or Parliament to put on cars that are available on the Motability Scheme.
In addition, premium cars are no longer eligible on the Motability Scheme:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
