We call on the UK Government to increase funding and research into Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), improve access to specialist NHS services, and provide better training for healthcare professionals. People with FND deserve faster diagnosis, better treatment, and greater understanding.
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a neurological condition that can cause seizures, paralysis, movement problems, pain, fatigue, speech difficulties and cognitive symptoms. Despite its impact, research funding and specialist support remain limited. We call on the UK Government to increase research funding, improve NHS access to specialist care, and provide better training so people with FND receive timely, evidence-based treatment.
