Rejected petition: Make the legal age to attend the gym 14 and over
Rejected on
Many young people who do not participate in sports and extra curricular clubs want something to keep them occupied. This will stop them from hanging around the towns and will lower the crimes rates in teenagers. The gym boosts confidence and will improve their mental and physical health.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
There is no current legal age to attend a gym - it is up to individual gyms and gym chains to decide for themselves. There is no Government responsibility for these decisions.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
