Rejected petition: no social media curfew for 16 and 17 year olds

Rejected on

Scrap the idea of a curfew for social media for 16-17 year olds as it is absolutely ridiculous. that is a parental decision not a government decision.16 and 17 years olds can drive, consent to sex, join the army and get a job but can’t decide when they can use there phone? This is not your descison.

This petition is to get the government to not put a curfew on social media for 16 and 17 year olds. if they can get a job, join the army, consent to sex and have a child and drive, they should be able to decide when they want to use there phone. Parents should make the decision of time limits with parental controls not the government
