We want the Uk Government to introduce a legal fair maximum limit for working environments, moving classes online or even cancelling the school day/week
Recent UK summers have brought extreme heatwaves, with classroom temperatures frequently spiking past 35°C. Current laws only require indoor spaces to be "reasonable," which gives no specific protection to students. Overheating causes a severe drop in concentration, headaches, and a genuine risk of heat exhaustion. This petition calls for a clear legal maximum limit of 31°C or more in schools. If classrooms exceed this, schools must be required to switch to remote learning or end the day early.
