Open petition: Make Emergency Adrenaline Auto-Injectors Available in Public Venues
Created by Cerys Marable
Closes on
Allow and require public venues, including restaurants, shopping centres, leisure centres, entertainment venues and community spaces to hold emergency adrenaline auto-injectors and ensure staff receive basic anaphylaxis awareness training.
Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening allergic reaction that can occur within minutes. Not everyone experiencing anaphylaxis has access to their prescribed auto-injector, may require more than one dose or people may experience a severe reaction for the first time without knowing they have an allergy. Having emergency adrenaline auto-injectors available in public venues, alongside trained staff, could help save lives and improve safety for millions of people living with allergies across the UK.
