Rejected petition: Call a General Election after a PM resigns
Rejected on
Politicians have been able to take the general public for fools. Promising everything and fulfilling nothing. When a sitting PM resigns because they are unpopular with either the electorate or their party, they must Call A General Election. This is the only way to restore faith in our governments.
Whomever occupies 10 Downing Street should put the citizens of the United Kingdom first and foremost. This can be done and even sets the example to the world without compromising and alienating those same citizens and Non Citizens alike. When a sitting PM loses the confidence of their party or the electorate they should resign, but this should be the point at which a General Election should be called. Thanks for taking the time to support and share my petition.
