Rejected petition: Make strict school uniform expectations and rules invalid during summer months

Rejected on

Schools must not enforce wearing a formal shirt, blazer, trousers or tie during summer months and give students the freedom to wear clothes of their choice within reason.

At the moment school uniform is impractical all year round, especially in summer time. Uniform expectations are outdated and with recent hot weather action has to be taken and change must be made. Ties restrict breathing and comfort around the neck, shirts are not breathable at all and stick to the skin when sweaty, black trousers absorb heat, same with blazers. It is inhumane for schools to enforce these expectations especially in the summer months, take action now.
