Rejected petition: Poor quality electrical goods sold in the UK

Before the EU, we had the British Standard Kite mark, this ensured the electrical goods sold in the Uk were manufactured of a high standard. Then during the EU, there was the CE mark, now after Brexit, Quality of goods are of what is sold at a street market by Del Boy. Poor quality knock offs.
I purchased two ceiling fans from Argos, the units look almost identical to a unit I purchased 30 years ago, it runs fast, quite and gives a good down draft. The new ones purchased, Buzz loudly, produce little down draft and the quality build is really cheap and nasty. We see plugs moulded to equipment, which have no fuse, which gets plugged in to 30amp mains. And this can be unsafe in the event of a fault. This rubbish is coming from China and is sold in Uk retail outlets and on line.
