We call upon the Government of the United Kingdom to hold an immediate General Election following the appointment of a new Prime Minister who has not been directly endorsed by the electorate in a national election.
A General Election would allow voters to express their democratic choice and provide a clear mandate for the country's future direction.
We therefore call on the Government and Parliament to hold a General Election at the earliest practical opportunity, ensuring that the Prime Minister governing the United Kingdom has the confidence not only of the House of Commons but also of the electorate.
