Open Do Not Tax Uninvested Cash Held Within Stocks and Shares ISAs

Retain the full tax-free status of Stocks and Shares ISAs by cancelling the planned 22% tax on interest earned from uninvested cash held within these accounts from April 2027 onwards.

Stocks and Shares ISAs have always been promoted as tax-free savings and investment accounts. Taxing uninvested cash would undermine trust in the ISA system and penalise savers who temporarily hold cash while managing risk, moving between investments, or waiting for suitable opportunities.
