I would like the UK Government to strengthen child safeguarding by requiring mandatory information sharing and risk reviews when a child is repeatedly seen by multiple agencies. Early intervention could help identify danger sooner and better protect vulnerable children.
Recent child protection cases have raised concerns that warning signs can be missed when information is held by different agencies. When a child has repeated contact with hospitals, social services, police, or other safeguarding professionals, concerns should automatically trigger a formal multi-agency review. Earlier information sharing, risk assessment, and oversight could help identify vulnerable children sooner and prevent serious harm.
