Rejected petition: Anti sickness medication for people with emetophobia

Rejected on

To change the look on people with emetophobia asking for things like anti sicknesses so we can live the life we are life we want to. I don’t think anyone understands how life changing this will be if someone actually took the time to listen and understand.

people with emetophobia are expected to be medicated the same as everyone else with normal mental health issues when that’s not the case, they see us asking for anti sickness as a safety behaviour and yes in a way it is but it’s not addictive like anxiety meds, people with anxiety and depression get medication to help and that to me is also a safety behaviour if we are categorising it.If anti sickness for emetophobia is a safety behaviour then everyone who is on meds should also be treat the same

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Medication used to treat emetophobia is already funded on the NHS.

You could start a new petition calling for the Government or Parliament to provide funding to make the medication free on the NHS.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
