Air conditioning should be mandatory on all TfL buses because London experiences increasingly hot summers, making bus journeys uncomfortable and, in some cases, dangerous for passengers. Excessive heat can affect elderly people, young children, pregnant women, and those with medical conditions. Installing air conditioning would create a more pleasant travel environment, encourage greater use of public transport, improve passenger wellbeing, and make journeys safer and more reliable in heatwaves.
