There are 6000 overseas dentists who have registered with GDC waiting to complete their exams in order to work in the UK as dentists. There is a shortfall of dentists however the problem is that the booking system for exams does not enable candidates to book exams in a fair manner
I know people who have waited 3 years or more to be able to book an oversees exam. GDC has a lottery base or luck base to book exams. Which has led many families being broken, oversees dentist not being able to get exam seats have fallen into depression because they cannot work in their profession instead they are cleaning
