Introduce new legal protections requiring video games sold in the UK to remain accessible to consumers who have purchased them. This could involve a requirement to provide physical versions or equivalent permanent ownership options for software.

The Government should strengthen UK consumer law so people who buy digital games retain fair long term access if a store closes, a licence changes, or content is removed.

Companies should be required to give clear notice before access changes and provide a permanent download, offline option, physical release, refund, or fair alternative where possible.
