Rejected petition: The PM should Govern for all not just the north

Rejected on

The PM and the Government have a responsibility to govern for the entire UK, not to prioritise a personal agenda or the interests of a single region. This is even more important when pursuing policies that have not been put before the country and therefore do not carry a direct electoral mandate.

With the PM seemingly to change once again, we as the electorate of the UK and NI, need to be clear about one thing: the PM and the Government have a duty to govern for the entire country and in the interests of the UK and NI as a whole, not for one particular region or to pursue a personal political agenda.
That is especially important when any significant change in direction has not been endorsed by the electorate through a general election and therefore lacks a direct electoral mandate.
