Rejected petition: Allow for hybrid attendance of Councillors

I call on the Government to amend Legislation that currently requires in person attendance of Councillors. I believe that the existing Laws are exclusionary. I think so many people are being locked out of being Councillors just because they cannot attend in person.
I think that just because an individual cannot attend in person does not mean that they should be denied the opportunity of being a Councillor. I think so many people are being locked out of being Councillors just because they cannot attend in person. I think this is wrong and incompatible with the year of 2026. I think so many of these people have much to give to their communities and have the talents to do so. Allowing hybrid attendance of Councillors is the way forward in the year of 2026.
