Rejected petition: Ensure balanced vehicle access and conservation for Chase Road Brocton
Rejected on
We ask the government to direct Natural England to review proposals restricting vehicle access to Chase Road Brocton, Cannock Chase. We request changes balance protection with retaining essential access, for disabled/mobility users, emergency services and local communities.
Cannock Chase is a nationally protected AONB and SAC. National Policy requires conservation and access are balanced fairly. Restricting Chase Road Brocton, ST17 0LT - a vital lifeline - would remove essential vehicle access for mobility-impaired people, the elderly, those relying on nature for mental wellbeing, local businesses, emergency services, and residents. This disproportionately affects vulnerable groups, ignoring legal duties.
