Rejected petition: STOP BMA PLAN B subscription based means tested treatments
Rejected on
The BMA GPs Committee for England have balloted GPs in England on Plan B’, or an alternative strategy would allow GPs greater freedom called for the consideration of a means-tested, subscription-based service, I call on the government to urgently meet The BMA to stop this happening
The BMA GPs Committee for England (GPC England) will ballot GPs in England on a ‘Plan B’, or an alternative strategy for general practice that would allow GPs greater freedom to provide private services to their patients. This follows the passing of a resolution at UK LMC Conference earlier this month that called for the consideration of a means-tested, subscription-based service, This would mean before patients being treated they would be means tested and lead to a a 2 tier service
