Fund the free installation of air conditioning in all homes, at no cost to homeowners, with the Government providing funding for installation, maintenance and operation where necessary.

The UK is facing more frequent heatwaves, while many homes trap heat. The rising cost of living means many people cannot afford air conditioning, leaving many vulnerable people at risk. We want the Government to fund the installation and maintenance of air conditioning in all homes, and running costs. This could protect public health, reduce heat-related illness and deaths, tackle inequality, and help our country adapt to climate change fairly.
