Open petition: Review NHS approach & require national care pathway for severe childhood eczema
Created by kacie-jayne reynolds
Closes on
Review the NHS approach and require it to introduce a specific national care pathway for children with moderate to severe eczema. This should include more urgent referrals to dermatologists and dietitians, regular follow ups, action plans, and better education for GPs who will see a child first.
Despite severe pain and symptoms, or full-on allergic reactions, I worry that children are left waiting years to be seen by dermatologists and dietitians. I’m petitioning for faster access to specialists, clearer treatment pathways, better GP education. Separately, I also think labelling on steroid creams should include a TSW warning
