Rejected petition: Improved support for birth families

Rejected on

When children are removed from their birth parents, it can often feel like the voices of those parents are pushed aside.
Birth parents should be supported, listened to, and treated with dignity. Wherever it is safe and in a child’s best interests, maintaining a meaningful relationship with children

Families need help, guidance, and a fair chance to rebuild—not to feel forgotten once decisions have been made. Children deserve stability, but they also deserve a system that recognises the importance of their identity, history, and connections.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We don't know quite what your petition specifically relates to, nor what sort of support you are calling for - in addition, you seem to have repeat signatures from the same person: you need five different people to support your petition before we can moderate it.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
