The DRC has sought justice through legal means. We believe if the UK stands for human rights, it cannot remain silent, and that history will remember who stood with the victims and who turned away. We urge the UK Government to join the DRC’s ICJ case as a party to obtain justice and defend lives.

For thirty years, we believe a silent catastrophe has unfolded on Congolese soil. It is estimated that nearly 6 million men, women and children have been killed in wars and conflicts in the DRC since 1996. Survivors have faced face mass rape, ethnic cleansing, child abduction, and the theft of their land and wealth. We believe these acts meet the legal definition of genocide and crimes against humanity.

On 26 June 2026, the DRC turned to the International Court of Justice to file a case against Rwanda for its role in this tragedy. We believe this is not a political dispute, but a plea for justice after decades of suffering.
