Open petition: Review Ideological Neutrality in UK Public Bodies and Public Sector Services
Created by Steven Taylor
Closes on
We call on Parliament to launch a public inquiry into ideological neutrality and the use of evidence-based standards and transparency in public-sector policy and training. We are concerned that for example Critical Social Justice ideology has become increasingly common.
We believe that partial views such as Critical Social Justice ideology would undermine impartial governance, evidence-based standards and public trust. Such approaches risk introducing divisive, contested concepts like equity, decolonisation, gender identity policy and elevating "lived experience" above testable evidence. We are worried these ideological perspectives may now widely shape Civil Service training, school curricula, police response and NHS guidance.
