Rejected petition: Ban AI data centres from being built.

Rejected on

AI data centres cause noise pollution, which is harmful for both humans and nature. Large data centres can use up to 5 million gallons of water PER DAY, which could have drastic effects on local water supplies.

We need to stop this before it starts. Don’t build AI data centres.

We survived just fine without generative AI and it is not necessary in day to day use.
Data centres cause health and environmental issues that are simply not worth the gains.
AI data centres replace greenery with huge machines which disrupt local ecosystems, they are not necessary.
