Open petition: Introduce use of drug-detection dogs to the House of Commons

Created by Rajan Paul
Closes on

We call on the House of Commons to implement certified drug-detection dogs to detect and deter the presence of illegal substances and to be used to conduct regular, unannounced sweeps of the House of Commons estate.

We think this could help:

Maintain integrity: Parliament must uphold the laws it creates.

Ensure safety: A drug-free workplace ensures a safe environment for all staff, visitors, and officials concerned with decision-making in public office.

Public confidence: Implementing visible deterrents restores and maintains public trust in democratic institutions.
