Open Pay every UK adult £100 on the first of every month

Introduce a tax-free, triple-locked Citizens’ Payment guaranteeing every UK adult a minimum monthly state payment of £100 on the first of every month, funded by an annual tax on net wealth above £10 million.

Make £100 the universal monthly minimum for every UK adult. Smaller benefits would be replaced by the higher payment, while anyone entitled to more would keep their full support. With no means test or application, it would be simple, hard to exploit and cheaper to administer. It would help people afford essentials, boost spending in local businesses and share some of the gains from AI and automation. Taxing only wealth above £10 million would protect ordinary workers and small businesses.
