The Dunwich Heath fire has devastated a vital coastal nature reserve, compounding the impact of Sizewell C on Suffolk's wildlife and communities. Following this fire, we call on the Government to move LionLink and SeaLink to brownfield sites outside the Suffolk Coast Area Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The devastating Dunwich Heath fire has destroyed one of our most precious wildlife habitats, making it more important than ever to protect what remains of the Suffolk Coast. We call on the Government to relocate LionLink and SeaLink landfalls and associated infrastructure to suitable brownfield sites. Both schemes would pass through or beside protected nature reserves, adding to the impacts of Sizewell C on wildlife, landscape and communities already struggling with major construction works.
