We need to stop Maidstone Borough Council closing down the Twice weekly Market. The market has been going on for years and is part of the County town of Kent you have loads of local traders who has stalls from food to craft and Flowers ect. Lets support our Markets and Local Traders

Historical Timeline1267: The first official local market is established in Maidstone.1261–1682: Markets operate across various areas including Peter's Field, the High Street, and Bullock Lane.1824–1879: Livestock and street markets move out of the main roads to Penenden Heath, Fairmeadow, and finally Lockmeadow.1892: The Lockmeadow site begins formal operations for livestock and large seasonal fairs.
